Welcome to China, with its 5000-year history, splendid culture, numerous historical sites, as well as its delicious cuisine. The exploration tour starts from the capital city, Beijing.
Upon your arrival, our local English-speaking guide will hold a pick-up sign with your name and meet with you at the Arrival Hall of Beijing International Airport. Then transfer to your hotel and free on your own for the rest of the day.
Day 2 Beijing

After breakfast at the hotel, the tour briefing will be given in the hotel lobby and you will also get the opportunity to meet your traveling companions. First, you will walk to Tiananmen Square, the largest city square in the world. Covering 440,000 square meters, it has witnessed many important historical events. Next, discover the Forbidden City, one of the five most famous palaces in the world where the 24 emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties lived and ruled for over 500 years. It is also one of the best-preserved palaces in the world.
Lunch will be a delicious local Chinese meal (valued at CNY150.00 per person) at a very nice restaurant.
This afternoon, continue on to visit the famous Temple of Heaven, the landmark of Beijing. It was used by the emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties to pray good harvests and hold sacrificing ceremonies.
In the evening, you will be entertained by a lively Chinese Kung Fu show at the Red Theatre.
Day 3 Beijing

This morning, please have a big breakfast and prepare some snacks for lunch because today you will be climbing the most splendid and best preserved Badaling Section of the Great Wall. The Great Wall of China is considered among the 8 wonders in the world, as well as inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This section is the highlight of the Ming Great Wall.
Lunch is arranged with the nice set-meal at the Brickyard Retreat, considered one of the best restaurants in the region. After, you will visit the Sacred Way in the afternoon. On the way to the downtown area, you will also get to see the magnificent Bird's Nest (Olympic National Stadium) at close quarters.
Day 4 Beijing-Xi’an (by air)

The tour continues with a visit to the extraordinary Summer Palace - the largest imperial garden in China. You will enjoy the fascinating lake view of the Kunming Lake. Followed by a classic (alleyways formed by traditional courtyard residences) which allows you to experience the essence of Beijing and its old culture. You will also stop at a pearl store.
Enjoy an abundant a la carte lunch will be served at an elegant local restaurant. Next, an afternoon flight will take you to the ancient legendary city, Xian. Upon arrival, be picked up and transfer to the hotel. You are free to explore on your own for the rest of the day.
Day 5 Xian
Meals: Buffet Breakfast, Chinese Lunch, Dumpling Dinner.

After breakfast, you will start your full-day tour of the ancient city. First, visit the world-renowned Terracotta Warriors, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Terracotta Army was created to guard Emperor Qin Shihuang's tomb and to protect him in the afterlife. It is estimated that there are over 7,000 life-size Terracotta figures and horses buried here. You will also visit a pottery-making factory at the site.
You will enjoy a home cooked a la carte lunch. You can also learn to cook a Chinese dish with the host, for free of charge. Highly recommended by our former clients, it is a good opportunity for you to experience close contact with the local people and dine with them in a family environment.
This afternoon, you will visit the landmark of the city, the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. Built in the Tang Dynasty, it stands at 43.4 meters high and thirteen-storeys. It is typical of the traditional pagodas in ancient China.
Tonight, you will be invited to a traditional dumpling dinner and a splendid Tang Dynasty music and dance show.
Tips: Clients visiting in December, January, February, and March will arrange the dinner and evening activity on their own for this day, since the theater will not be open at that time.
Day 6 Xi’an

After breakfast, you will visit the wonderful Shaanxi History Museum, one of the most famous museums in China, where you can get to learn more about the history and culture of China and Shaanxi. Next, visit the Ancient City Wall, built in the Ming Dynasty with a history over 600 years. It is one of the largest and best-preserved city walls in China. You will take an interesting cycling tour on the massive ancient city wall.
For lunch, we will serve you an a la carte meal at a well-known restaurant.
Next, visit the Grand Mosque, constructed in 742 A.D. It is a large-scale architectural complex, which shows the fascinating combination between Islamic belief and Chinese culture. Walk around the nearby famous food street-Muslim Quarters and discover local delicious snacks. After that, drive to your hotel.

Day 7 Xi’an-Guilin (by air)

A morning flight will take you to Guilin where you will meet your local guide at the Guilin airport. A driver will then take you to the hotel. After checking in and a short rest, you will have a half-day sightseeing trip to the Reed Flute Cave, famous for its variety of stalagmites, rock formations, and stone pillars. Overnight at Guilin.
Day 8 Guilin-Yangshuo

After breakfast, you will be driven to take a leisurely Li River Cruise and enjoy the fascinating landscapes. It is a 4-hour cruise along the picturesque Li River, surrounded by numerous Karst hills. Lunch is served onboard before arriving at Yangshuo. It is a small town set amid the lush rice paddies and surrounded by meandering rivers and limestone peaks.
Lunch will be a buffet meal on board (Please have a good breakfast this morning at the hotel as the buffet food onboard has a limited selection).
In Yangshuo, you will be driven to the nearby countryside to soak up the amazing scenery. Along the way, you will pay a visit to a local family, where you will see many scenes that can only be experienced in some old Chinese movies. Then you will be driven back to Guilin to have a brief visit to the Elephant Trunk Hill. It rises measures about 108m in length and 100m in width.
Day 9 Guilin-Shanghai (by air)

This morning, transfer to the Guilin airport for your flight to Shanghai, the last stop of your 11-day guided tour of China. Upon arrival you will find your local guide is waiting for you outside the baggage claim area of the airport to take you to the hotel. The remainder of the day is left free for you. If you are interested, we suggest you take a visit to Shanghai's new spotlight- Xin Tian Di area. It is a wonderful place for shopping, entertainment, and dining.
Day 10 Shanghai

After breakfast, today's trip will start at the Shanghai Museum, which exhibits ancient artworks of China, especially bronze ware, chinaware, calligraphies, and paintings. It is one of TOP 3 museums in China. Next, drive to visit the Yu Garden, the most famous private garden in Shanghai built in 1559 A.D. You will also visit a silk store during the tour. Afterward, enjoy a farewell a la carte lunch of authentic Shanghai cuisine.
This afternoon, stroll around the Bund, a famous waterfront area with 52 various buildings of different architectural styles. After that, take a short cruise tour along the Huangpu River and enjoy the beautiful skyline of the city. After having some free time, our guide and driver will take you back to the hotel and say goodbye to you.

Day 11 Shanghai-Departure

Today, you are free to explore on your own and take the taxi to the airport for your departing flight. Please arrive 3 hours ahead of the departure time at the Shanghai Pudong International. Thus, the end of your spectacular tour in China.
