Day 1 Arrival at Beijing

Welcome to visit China, with its 5000-year-old history, splendid culture, numerous historical heritages, and the incredible variety of delicious Chinese food. On the tour, your family will not only learn much about the history and culture of China, but also attend fascinating activities. All instilling wonderful family memories that will last a lifetime.

Upon arrival, our local experienced tour guide and driver will hold a pick-up sign with your name and meet with you at the Arrival Hall of Beijing International Airport. Next, be transferred to your hotel in the downtown core. The rest of the day, you are free to explore at your leisure. You will stay in Beijing for 3 nights.

Day 2 Beijing

Night Show: Legend of KUNG FU (Row 1-4 or Row 13-16)

After enjoying the breakfast you will walk to Tiananmen Square, the biggest city square in the world. Covering 440,000 square meters, it has witnessed many important historical events. Next, discover the Forbidden City, one of the most famous palaces in the world where 24 emperors of Ming and Qing dynasties lived and ruled for over 500 years. After that, visit Jingshan Park, the former imperial garden during the Ming and Qing dynasties, where you can overlook the entire Forbidden City. 
Lunch will be a delicious local Chinese meal.

This afternoon, continue on the tour to the largest imperial garden, The Summer Palace, which was built in the late Qing Dynasty as the summer resort for the Empress Dowager Cixi. You can enjoy the stunning natural beauty of the landscape. Tonight, we will arrange for you, the local specialty of Peking Roasted Duck Dinner at the famous Quan Ju De Restaurant, for the welcome dinner.

After dinner, drive to enjoy the fantastic Legend of Kung Fu (Row 1-4 or Row 13-16 Central). A wonderful show for a family tour, Legend of Kung fu showcases the fantastic story about how a young child grows up to be a Kung fu Master. It perfectly combines the martial art, acrobatics, and dancing. After the show, drive back to the hotel.

Day 3 Beijing

Activities: Great Wall Hiking (Mutianyu Great Wall)

This morning, you will be transferred to visit the world famous Great Wall of China (Mutianyu Section), which is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This section of the Great Wall has far fewer visitors. You will hike along the Great Wall for 2-2.5 hours, seeing the spectacular views and fascinating architectural beauty of this wonder of the world.

The Great Wall at Mutianyu used to serve as the northern barrier defending the capital and imperial tombs in the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). This section is surrounded by woodland and streams. It is a section restored in the early 1980s, however, it retains the original features of the ancient defense system. It’s easily accessible being about 45 miles from Beijing. Mutianyu offers a wonderfully satisfying experience of the Wall. It has superb scenery, dense vegetation, and many fine watchtowers in an excellent restored section. The brickwork is elaborate, with crenellations on both sides and finely curved eaves on some watch-tower roofs. There are decorative gables with animal statues, and tablets bearing calligraphy above some entrances.

Lunch will be served as a delicious local Chinese meal on the foot of the Great Wall.

On the way back to the hotel, you will visit the new landmarks of Beijing, Birds Nest, which is the National Stadium. The stadium covers an area of about 63.6 acres (25.8 hectares), which can accommodate 80,000 fixed seats and 11,000 temporary seats. Its appearance was formed by big steel frames. The top surface is saddle-shaped with the major axis of 1,090 feet (332.3 meters) and the stub axis of 972 feet (296.4 meters). The tallest point of the stadium is 225 feet (68.5 meters) above the ground and the lowest point is 140 feet (42.8 meters). The top is covered by semi-transparent air bubble film. This kind of material is waterproof and allows sunshine to penetrate into the stadium. 

Day 4 Beijing-Xian (by bullet train)

Attractions: Temple of Heaven

Activity: Rickshaw tour in Hutong, Facial Painting Lesson.

Meals: Buffet breakfast, Chinese Lunch.

This morning, visit the famous Temple of Heaven, the landmark of Beijing, which was used to pray for good harvests and hold the Heaven Worshiping Ceremony by the emperors during the Ming and Qing dynasties. Then take a leisurely rickshaw tour in Beijing Hutong. You will have the chance to see the original residence of the local people and experience its traditional lifestyle. In addition, your family will attend the interesting Facial Painting Lesson in Hutong.

Lunch will be served as a local Chinese meal at the traditional courtyard.

After lunch, drive to the railway station and experience the fastest bullet train in China from Beijing to Xi’an (around 5-5.5 hours, first class). We will book the luxury business class seats for you. Enjoy the landscape on the way between the two ancient cities. Once there, be picked up and transfer to your hotel. Overnight in Xi’an. 

Day 5 Xian

Activities: Learn to make terracotta warriors.

Meals: Buffet breakfast, Chinese Lunch.

After breakfast, you will start your full-day tour in the ancient city. First, visit the world-renowned Terracotta Warriors. The Terracotta Army was created to guard Emperor Qin Shihuang's tomb, and to protect him in the afterlife. It is estimated that there are over 7,000 life-size Terracotta figures and horses buried here. You will learn to make the Terracotta Warriors in the ceramic factory.

Lunch will be served as a Chinese meal.

This afternoon, you will visit the landmark of the city-Big Wild Goose Pagoda. Built in the Tang Dynasty, the square pyramid stands at 60 meters high and seven-storeys tall. It was built to restore the Buddhist scriptures brought by the famous Monk Xuanzang. After that, visit the Grand Mosque, which was initially constructed in 742 A.D. It is an incredible architectural complex, which shows the combination between Islamic belief and Chinese culture. Stroll around the nearby famous food street-Muslim Quarter. After the tour, drive back to your hotel.

Day 6 Xian-Chengdu (by bullet train)

Meals: Buffet breakfast, Chinese Lunch

After breakfast, you will visit the well-known Shaanxi History Museum, one of the most famous museums in China where you will learn about the history and culture of China and Shaanxi. Then, visit the Square of Bell and Drum Tower, where you can see the well-preserved ancient Bell and Drum Tower of the Ming Dynasty (outside visiting only).

Lunch will be a delicious local Chinese meal.

After lunch, drive to visit the Ancient City Wall, which was built in the Ming Dynasty. It has a history spanning over 600 years and is one of the largest and best-preserved city walls in China. The last stop in Xi’an is the Former Residence of Family Gao, which features the well-preserved courtyard of the Han Dynasty. You can also enjoy the traditional puppet show there.

After the tour, drive to the railway station and take the bullet train to the leisurely city Chengdu (around 4 hours). Once there, be picked up and transferred to the hotel. Overnight in Chengdu.

Day 7 Chengdu-Dujiangyan-Chengdu.

Activities: One day Panda Keeper Programme at Panda Valley.

As the national treasure and unique species in China, the lovely panda is definitely should be put on the schedule in your trip in Chengdu. Considered to be the “Living Fossil”, the giant panda is believed to exist for around 8 million years.

This morning, you will be picked up at your hotel lobby and transferred to the famous Panda Valley, located in Dujiangyan (around 1.5 hours on the way). Founded in 2010, the Panda Valley is the branch organization of Chengdu Panda Research Base, designed to rehabilitate the pandas before returning them to wild. You will have the opportunity to volunteer in the base, gain knowledge of pandas, sweep the panda’s house and feed the pandas etc. The volunteer work starts at 9:30 am and ends around 3-4pm in the afternoon. After the tour, drive back to your hotel.

Day 8 Chengdu-Guilin (by air)

Meals: Buffet breakfast, Hotpot meal for Lunch

This morning, continue on the tour with the famous Wenshu Temple, one of the most famous Buddhist temples in Sichuan Province. It features the traditional architectural styles of western Sichuan province. It contains cultural heritage, gardens, and ancient buildings, religious studying etc. Afterward, visit Jinli Ancient Town, which actually is the ancient street with a total length of 550 meters. It features the traditional former residences of the Ming and Qing dynasties style. Afterward, take a relaxing stroll on Jinli Street. 

Lunch will be served as a local authentic hotpot meal for lunch.

After the tour, drive to the airport for the departure flight to the beautiful city of Guilin. Once there, be picked up and transferred to the hotel. Overnight in Guilin.

Day 9 Guilin-Yangshuo

Meals: Buffet breakfast, Buffet lunch on board

After breakfast, you will be driven to take a leisurely Li River Cruise and enjoy the fascinating landscapes. It is a 4-hour cruise along the picturesque Li River, with its numerous karst hills. Lunch is served on board before arriving at Yangshuo, a small town set in the lush rice paddies and surrounded by meandering rivers and limestone peaks.

Lunch will be served as a set meal onboard. (Please have a good breakfast this morning at the hotel as the buffet food on board is limited for the choice.)

Once there, you will visit the famous Moon Hill and the Grand Banyan Tree there. Next, you will stroll on Yangshuo West Street and buy some little gifts for your family or friends. Overnight at the local boutique hotel in Yangshuo.

Day 10 Yangshuo-Guilin-Shanghai (by air)

Activities: Biking in the countryside (1 hour), Bamboo Raft Ride on Yulong River.

Meals: Breakfast, Chinese Lunch.

This morning, you will take an interesting bike ride in the countryside in Yangshuo (1 hour) to explore the beauty of Yangshuo. After that, take a leisurely bamboo raft ride on Yulong River, enjoy the fun of rafting and the fascinating landscapes on both sides. Afterward, drive back to the downtown and visit the highlights of the Guilin. First, visit the landmark of Guilin-Elephant Trunk Hill. Elevated at 200 m, Elephant Truck Hill rises 55 m above the water's surface and measures 108 m in length and 100 m in width. Then, visit the typical karst landform-Reed Flute Cave. Lunch will be served as a local Chinese meal.

Next, drive to the airport for the departure flight to the modern metropolis of Shanghai. Once there, be picked up and transferred to the hotel. You will stay in Shanghai for 3 nights.

 

Day 11 Shanghai

Night activity: Acrobatic Show.

Meals: Buffet breakfast, Special Lunch

After breakfast, start your full-day tour to explore the metropolis. First, stroll around the romantic Bund, which is a famous waterfront with 52 various buildings of different architectural styles. You can enjoy the beautiful skyline of the city. Drive to visit the famous Yu Garden, which is the most famous private garden in Shanghai built in 1559 A.D. It is considered the “Stunning Pearl” of Shanghai. Then, stroll around the bustling Shanghai Old Town, which features the Qing Dynasty architecture style. 

Lunch will be served as an authentic Shanghai cuisine at the famous Lvbolang Restaurant, which is visited by many presidents, celebrities and high-level officals from around the world.

This afternoon, visit the famous Shanghai Museum, one of the best museums in China, which features a large collection of bronze articles. Jade Buddha Temple, is one of the most popular Buddhist temples in Shanghai. You can see the exquisite reclining Jade Buddha. Xintiandi, the newest highlight of Shanghai, which was renovated from the local stone-arched house into the trendy boutique stores, bars, restaurants etc. Dinner will be at your own expense.

Tonight, you will enjoy the fantastic Acrobatic Show, which is one of the most popular activities in Shanghai. Afterward, drive back to the hotel.

Day 12 Shanghai-Disneyland Park

This morning after breakfast, you will be picked up at your hotel lobby and transferred to Shanghai Disneyland. It is the first Disneyland park in mainland China and the sixth Disneyland park in the world. You can expect to discover 6 unique and unforgettable lands: Mickey Avenue, Gardens of Imagination, Fantasy Land, Adventure Isle, Treasure Cove, and Tomorrow Land. You will spend a full day there (10 hours maximum) on your own. Lunch is your own expense on site. After the tour, drive back to your hotel.

Day 13 Shanghai-departure.

Activity: Maglev train ride (Single way)

Meals: Buffet breakfast, Chinese Lunch

This morning drive to visit the newest landmark of Shanghai, the Shanghai Tower. With the total height of 632m, it is the tallest building in China. You will take a high-speed elevator up to the 118-floor Observation Hall, where you can get great panoramic views of the metropolis. After that, drive around the Lujiazui Financial Zone, which is considered to be the “Wall Street of China” as many international banks and financial organizations are gathered here.

Lunch will be served as a local Chinese meal.

After lunch, drive to experience the maglev train ride (around 7 mins from Longyang Rd Station to Shanghai Pudong International Airport) to the airport for your departing flight (we suggest you book the flight with departure time after 4:00 pm.). Thus, end of your memorable tour of China.
