Located at the border of Anhui and Zhejiang province in eastern China, Hui-Hang Ancient Path is the third most renowned ancient road after the famous Silk Road and the tea-horse ancient road. With a total length of 21km, it starts from Fuling town, Jixi county, Anhui province and ends at Maxiao town, Lin An, Hangzhou. Originally built in Tang dynasty, it was an important commercial and communication link for merchants between ancient Huizhou and Hangzhou. Enjoy the fun of hiking, exploring the stunning nature, as well as experiencing the local lifestyle deep in the mountains are all expected on the tour. It is a good choice for the weekend to escape from Shanghai. The best time to enjoy the hiking is April and May as it’s the most beautiful season when flowers are blooming on the mountain. The temperature is warm. In Autumn, you can enjoy the colors of fall along the way.
This morning, you will be picked up at your hotel lobby in downtown Shanghai by our English-speaking tour guide and driver. Then you will be transferred to the railway station for the bullet train to Huangshan (around 3.5 hours). Once there, be picked up and transferred to Yuchuan where the Hui-Hang Ancient Path starts. You will begin the tour from Gudao Restaurant, passing by Huangmaopei Village, Qingliangfeng Bridge, finally arriving at Xiaxuetang. The whole tour takes around 3-4 hours. You will enjoy the beautiful views on the way and the excellent hiking experience. Tonight, you will stay at the guesthouse in Xiaxuetang Village. The local guesthouse will provide the basic Chinese dinner for you.

Day 2 Huangshan -> Shanghai (by bullet train, around 3-3.5 hours)
Hiking Route: Shangxuetang-Liantianao-Yonglai Village-Zhechuan Village
Meals: Breakfast.
This morning after breakfast at the local guesthouse, you will continue on the hiking tour. The section of the path is a little more difficult than the previous day. But, you will enjoy walking through the beautiful scenery. Yonglai Village is a small village with well-preserved traditional Hui-style residences. You will end the hiking tour in Zhechuan Village. The whole tour takes around 3 hours today.
After the tour, you will be transferred to Huangshan North Railway Station for the bullet train back to Shanghai (around 3-3.5 hours). You will arrive in Shanghai in the evening. Thus, the end of your incredible and memorable tour.
