Fuzhou (which means "Good Luck City"), is the capital of Fujian province. Not only does it have a history spanning over 2,000 years, but it also has important significance specifically with the Minnan and Hakka cultures.
Quanzhou is a coastal city and is home to a large international community. In ancient times, it was the eastern terminus of the Maritime Silk Road.
Upon your arrival at Fuzhou railway station or Changle International Airport, you will be met by your local English-speaking guide and Chinese-speaking driver. You will then be transferred to your hotel for check-in, and free to explore on your own.

After enjoying breakfast at your hotel, you will be picked up by your English-speaking guide and transferred to the railway station to take a high-speed train to Quanzhou. The trip takes approximately one and a half hours by train. Upon arrival in Quanzhou railway station, you will start your one day Quanzhou tour.
First on the itinerary, is the stunning Qingyuan Mountain with its 36 amazing caves. In ancient times, it was known as “The Supreme Mountain Fairyland by the Fujian Sea”. This scenic area comprises three mountains which are Qingyuan, Ling, and Jiuri. Some of the most interesting sites in the area include the sculpture of Lao-tzu, the statues of the Three Buddhas, the Islamic Holy Tombs, and the Qi Feng inscriptions of the Song Dynasty. You will spend about 2 hours here.
Next, you will be driven to Quanzhou Maritime Museum, which exhibits the rich 2,000-year history of Quanzhou's international trade. The museum has four exhibition halls: Quanzhou Overseas Communications, Quanzhou Religious Sculptures, Ancient Chinese Sailboat Models, and Quanzhou Customs and Culture. Currently, the first three are open to the public. The Quanzhou Maritime Museum offers a fascinating glimpse into the history of the city. Then, you will be driven to enjoy your lunch.
Today’s delicious Chinese lunch is served at a local restaurant. It takes around 40-50 minutes.
In the afternoon, you will visit the Kaiyuan Temple, which is famous for its courtyard galleries.
Next on the tour, you will be driven to Luoyang Bridge (or Wan’an Bridge), which is one of the four most famous ancient bridges in China. The other three ancient bridges are Lugou Bridge (Beijing), Zhaozhou Bridge (Shijiazhuang), and Guangji Bridge (Chaozhou). The Luoyang Bridge is a must-see destination for anyone visiting the area.
Later on, you will be driven to Quanzhou railway station to take the high-speed train back to Fuzhou. Upon arrival in Fuzhou railway station, you will be picked up and transferred to your hotel in Fuzhou. Enjoy your own evening in Fuzhou!

After enjoying breakfast at your hotel, you will be driven to the Drum Mountain (Gushan). A large stone resembling a drum sits on the mountain, hence its name. Also located here is the renowned Yongquan Temple, with a history spanning more than 1,000 years. Afterward, you will be driven to enjoy your lunch.
Today’s delicious Chinese lunch is served at local restaurant. It takes around 40-50 minutes.
In the afternoon, you will be driven to the lovely Three Lanes and Seven Alleys, to explore the well-preserved and ancient architectural complex of the Ming and Qing dynasties. Today, you will also visit the Lin Zexu Memorial Hall, built in memory of Lin Zexu. After that, you will be driven to the incredible West Lake Park, considered to be one of the best preserved classical gardens in Fuzhou. This beautiful and idyllic park has a history spanning more than 1,700 years.
After the visit, you will be picked up and driven to the airport or train station for your next destination. Thus, ending your unforgettable Fuzhou and Quanzhou tour.
