The city of Wuyishan is located in the northwest of Fujian province, China. It has a very long history, which spans over 4,000 years. Wuyishan Mountain Range park area, as one of the five main nature conservation areas in China, and was recognized by UNESCO in December 1999.Wuyishan is a must-see destination when visiting the region.
Upon your arrival at Wuyishan airport or railway station, you will be met by your local English-speaking guide and Chinese-speaking driver. Then, you will be transferred to your hotel for check-in. You are then free to explore on your own.
Hotel: Wuyi Mountain Villa or similar (4 star)
After enjoying breakfast at your hotel, you will be driven to visit your first attraction in Wuyishan. You will take a leisurely walk up to the Heavenly Tour Peak, which is composed of Bird’s Eye View Pavilion and Flax Brooklet. Visitors to the peak enjoy a stunning panoramic view of the surrounding mountainous area.
Next on the itinerary, is an enjoyable trip down Nine-Bend River by taking a Bamboo raft which is a must-see scenic destination. Moreover, enjoying the scenery while sitting in the comfortable rattan chairs on the raft, is a thoroughly memorable experience for tourists. The Bamboo raft trip takes around 90 minutes.
When you get back to shore, you will be taken to a local restaurant to enjoy your delicious Chinese lunch. It takes approx. 40-50 minutes.
Next stop on the tour, is the Wuyi Palace, which is the oldest palace in the Wuyishan Mountain Range. You will spend around 2 hours visiting the Palace and sites.
Finally, you will be transferred back to your hotel to enjoy the remainder of the day on your own.

After enjoying breakfast at your hotel, you will travel to Tiger Roaring Rock, which is a hill with steep cliffs located at 424 meters above sea level. When you hike on the zigzag trails, you will feel as if you are ascending to the sky. It is said the Tiger Roaring Rock was named from an immortal riding a roaring tiger. In fact, the sound of the roar comes from the mountain wind blowing inside a cave, which sounds similar to the roaring of a tiger.
Today’s delicious lunch is served at local restaurant.
In the afternoon, you will visit the famous hundred-year-old Red-Robe Tea Trees (the Chinese name is "Da Hong Pao"). It is the best kind of Wuyi rock tea. With this famous variety of tea, the Da Hong Pao tea plants grow on the rocks in the Wuyi Mountains. It refers to the most well-known oolong tea in China. If time permits, it is definitely worth sampling.
Next on the itinerary, you will visit the Water Curtain Cave, not far from the Red-Robe Tea Trees. The Water Curtain Cave is also an interesting cultural spot, and one of the 72 caves of the scenic Wuyi Mountains. There are several sights to explore around the Water Curtain Cave including the Swallow Peak, Danxia Peak, Flame Peak, Fragrant Valley, and Olecranon Rock.
You will then be transferred back to your hotel, to enjoy the remainder of the day on your own.

After enjoying breakfast at your hotel, you will be driven to visit Longchuan Grand Canyon. It is 21 km away from the Wuyi Mountain tourist area, and 18 km from the central area of the Wuyi preserve. The canyon is awe-inspiring with its lush forests and waterfalls. This idyllic place is definitely worth the visit.
After having your simple lunch at the noon, you will be driven to Qinglong Waterfalls (or Green Dragon Waterfalls), with its 40-meter-wide cascades down from a height of 120 meters. It is renowned as the No.1 waterfall in eastern China.
Later on, you will be picked up and transferred to the airport or train station for your next destination, ending your wonderful Wuyishan tour.
