Day 1 Arrival at Xiamen

Meals: N/A

Accommodation:

Xiamen Lujiang Hotel**** or similar class

This 6-day trip will take you to explore the UNESCO World Heritage Sites, traditional earthen buildings, natural wonders, the original place for the famous Wuyishan Rock Tea, as well as meet with the local Hakka people. Upon arrival, you will be picked up at the airport and transferred to your hotel. Easy and free to explore for the rest of the day.

Day 2 Xiamen- Earth Building -Xiamen

Meals: Buffet breakfast, Chinese Lunch

After breakfast, you will be driven 3.5 hours to visit the unique architectural style of the world-famous earthen building in Nanjing. Tianluokeng Tulou Cluster is the masterpiece of a traditional residence in China. As the settlement of the Family Huang, it consists of one square building, three-round buildings, and one oval building. It was given the nickname “One Table with 5 dishes”. Yuchanglou, the oldest existing tulou in China. It was originally built in 1368 A.D. in Ming Dynasty and was sponsored by 5 families. It was said that 4 families had moved out and just left Family Liu. In the building, there are 5 storeys and 269 rooms. Taxia Village is a famous water village in Nanjing. Originally built in 1426 A.D., the village and earth buildings were scattered along the river. The tulous have many different styles, such as square, round, etc. It even has the traditional stilted building which is found in the water towns in South of Yangtze River region. Hence it is also called “Hakka Zhouzhuang Village”. After the tour, drive back to the hotel.

Day 3 Xiamen-Wuyishan Mountain (by plane)

Meals: Buffet breakfast, Chinese Lunch

After enjoying the breakfast, you will take a ferry boat to Gulangyu Island. It was designated as the international foreign concession in 1908. You will take a leisurely walking and appreciate the buildings. Hai Tian Tang Gou is the largest old villa on the island where you can enjoy the ancient South Music performance and traditional puppet show. Continue on to visit Shuzhuang Garden, the former private garden, which was built in 1913. After that, visit the famous Piano Museum where you will see a collection of 80 rare old pianos from all over the world.

This afternoon, you will visit Huihe Stone Carving Theme Park. With a total area of 12,000 sq.m, it is a comprehensive park with exhibition of stone carvings, art creation, cultural exchange and education.

After the tour, drive to the airport for the flight to the UNESCO World Heritage Site -Wuyishan Mountain. Once there, be picked up and transferred to the hotel.

Day 4 Wuyishan Mountain

Meals: Buffet breakfast, Chinese Lunch

This morning, you will drive to see the original Da Hong Pao Tea Tree. It’s said that the seed of the tea tree was brought by the crane from the fairyland Penglai Island on the sea. Its priceless leaves are legendary for their healing powers and are reserved only for top-level political officers. This afternoon, you will proceed to the summit of Heavenly Peak for the birds-eye views of the whole resort. After that, you will visit the famous Yunwo Tea Cave.

Day 5 Wuyishan Mountain-Xiamen (by plane)

Meals: Buffet breakfast, Chinese Lunch

 After breakfast, you will take a leisurely bamboo rafting down the 9 Bend Stream, enjoy the fascinating natural landscapes of the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Wuyishan Mountain. You will see the unique and magical landforms. After that, you will visit Wuyi Palace and Song Dynasty Street, which features tea and bamboo and ancient culture.

This afternoon, visit Xiamei Ancient Village which takes you back to the time of the Ming and Qing dynasties. You will see the well-preserved and typical residences there. After the tour, drive back to your hotel.

Day 6 Xiamen- departure

Today, you are free until being transferred to the airport for your departure flight. Thus, the end the memorable trip in Fujian.
