Upon arrival at the Lhasa airport, you will be met by one of our English-speaking guides. From here, we'll take you straight to the hotel in Lhasa. Once you've checked-in, enjoy some free time on your own to relax. We request that while on this Tibet tour you refrain from drinking alcohol and smoking. Walk slowly and drink lots of water. Also, for your first day in Lhasa, please do not take a bath, as it will help your body adapt to the high altitude.

After breakfast, you will start your adventure in Lhasa with the UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Potala Palace. This impressive 13-storey building used to be the winter abode for Dalai Lamas. Historic and magnificent, it is an iconic landmark in Llasa that can be seen from all over the city. Dating back to the 7th-century AD, it is considered one of the region's most important relics.
Next on the tour, will be a visit to the most revered religious structure in Tibet, the Jokhang Temple. In the Tibetan language, Jokhang, translated to “Buddha’s House”, because the main statue enshrined is said to have been made by Buddha Sakyamuni, himself, in his lifetime. Here you can meet all the tribes from the Tibetan plateau. The surrounding market is called, Barkhor, one of the most important religious paths, which attracts both pilgrims and tourist throughout the day.

After breakfast, the tour continues with visits to two famous and important monasteries in Lhasa: the Drepung Monastery and Sera Monastery. The Sera Monastery was founded in 1419 by Sakya Yeshe, a disciple of Tsongkhapa. The Buddhist scripture-debating among monks in Sera is world-renowned.

Next on the itinerary, you will drive to the wonderful city of Nyingchi. Once there, you will visit the jade lake, Basum-Tso (also named Cuogao Lake in Tibetan, meaning "green water"). Surrounded by snow-capped peaks and lush forests, the lake is known for its stunning beauty and tranquility. It is also regarded as a holy lake for the Nyingma Sect of Tibetan Buddhism.
Next, you will get to see the most famous and magical tree in the Nyingchi area, known as King Cypress. At a towering 50-meters tall, this tree is believed to be more than 2,500 years old. Afterward, check into the hotel.

Today you will travel to the idyllic Lulang Forest. It is a narrow valley full of forests and flowers, grasslands and streams. In the Tibetan language, Lulang means "Dragon's Valley". On both sides of the valley rise lush green mountains. At the foot of the mountain are beautiful meadows and villages. The entire area makes for breathtaking photo-ops.
After that, drive back to the Lhasa hotel.
