Day 1 Arrive at Xiamen

Welcome to Fujian, the province in the southeast of China and close to Taiwan. It’s famous for the exquisite natural landscapes, UNESCO World Heritage Site inscribed tulous, as well as tea. This 8-day tour will take you to explore the homeland of Tie Guan Yin Tea and Da Hong Pao Tea, tour the starting point of the famous Marine Silk Road, witness the unique architecture of tulous and the extraordinary beauty of Wuyishan Mountain.
Upon arrival, our local guide will pick you up at the airport and transfer you to the hotel. The rest of day, free and easy at the hotel.
Day 2 Xiamen-Anxi-Xiping-Quanzhou

After enjoying the breakfast, you will drive 2-hours to Xiping Village in Anxi County which is considered to be the home of the original Tiguanyin Tea bush. Tiguanyin Tea is one of the most renowned green teas in China. It has the natural flavor of a sweet-smelling orchid. After that, drive to visit Tieguanyin Cultural Garden and Weiyin Tea Factory where you will learn more about the history and production of Tieguanyin Tea. This afternoon, you will visit the famous China Tea Capital, a large center built to showcase Anxi County’s famous Tieguanyin Tea. After the tour, transfer to the ancient city of Quanzhou, the starting point of the ancient Marine Silk Road. You will stay at Quanzhou for 2 nights.
Day 3 Quanzhou

With a long history of 1,500 years, Quanzhou was a famous coastal city since ancient times. In the Song and Yuan Dynasty, Quanzhou Harbour was considered to be the largest harbor in the world. Today, you will spend a full-day to explore the ancient city. First, stop at the thousand-year-old Kaiyuan Temple. It was originally built in 686 A.D. in the Tang Dynasty. In 738 A.D. the temple was given the name Kaiyuan Temple. With a total area of 7800 sq.m, it is considered to be the largest Buddhist temple in Fujian. The existing buildings were mostly built in the Ming and Qing dynasty. Then visit the city landmark in the temple, East Tower and West Pagoda. The two pagodas are the highest pair of pagodas in China. Luoyang Bridge is the masterpiece of ancient bridges in China. Originally built in 1059 A.D. in the Song Dynasty, the bridge is 834 meters long and 7 meters wide. You will be amazed by the skill and ingenuity of the ancient people. After that, visit the famous Quanzhou Marine Museum which is the only national museum to showcase marine transportation history. Qingjing Mosque is the earliest existed mosque in China. It is an incredible example of Arabic architectural style. The last stop is the Confucius Temple Antique Market. Overnight at Quanzhou.
Day 4 Quanzhou-Hua’an-Zhangpu-Xiamen

Today, you will drive to Hua’an County where you will see the 268-year-old Eryilou Tulou, the largest tulou in China which has been inscribed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. You will also stroll around the nearby tea garden. On the way back to Xiamen, you will stop at the famous Zhangzhou Tianfu Tea Museum which is the largest tea museum in the world. The main hall utilizes different mediums to vividly display the history of tea, tea culture of various countries, as well as the development of Tian Fu Group. You will also enjoy the professional tea ceremony in Chinese tea art classroom. Overnight at the hotel in Xiamen.
Day 5 Xiamen-Wuyishan Mountain

After enjoying the breakfast, you will take a ferry to Gulangyu Island. It was designated as the international foreign concession in 1908. You will take a leisurely walking and appreciate the beautiful architecture. Hai Tian Tang Gou is the largest old villa on the island where you can enjoy the ancient musical performance and traditional puppet show. Continue on to visit Shuzhuang Garden, the former private garden, which was built in 1913. Afterward, visit the famous Piano Museum where you will see a collection of 80 rare old pianos from all over the world. This afternoon, you will visit Xiamen Tea Import and Export Co, Ltd. It’s the largest Oolong Tea company in China. After the tour, drive to the airport and take the flight to Wuyishan. Once there, be picked up and transferred to the hotel. You will stay at the beautiful Wuyi Mountain Villa.
Day 6 Wuyishan Mountain

This morning, you will take a leisurely bamboo rafting trip, enjoy the fascinating natural landscapes of the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site, Wuyishan Mountain. You will see the unique fairy tale peaks. After that, you will climb up to Heavenly Peak and enjoy the panoramic views of the blue stream. This afternoon, continue to see the original Da Hong Pao Tea trees. After the trip, drive back to the hotel.
Day 7 Wuyishan Mountain

After breakfast, you will enter the Wuyi Natural Reserve which encompasses one of the oldest tea factories making the smoky Lapsang Souchong Black Tea. You will take a visit to the factory and learn about the process of making the tea as well as taste the different products there. This afternoon, visit Xiamei Ancient Village which is a traditional slice of the Ming and Qing dynasties. You will see the well-preserved and traditional residence there. Wuyi Tea Expo Garden will be your last stop today. You will not only experience the profound tea culture of Wuyi Tea, but also enjoy the interesting live show there. After the tour, drive back to your hotel.
Day 8 Wuyishan- departure.
Meals: Buffet breakfast.
Today, you are free until being transferred to the airport for the departure flight. Thus, the end of your pleasant tea exploration tour in Fujian.
