Day 1, Beijing-Arrival.

Meals: N/A

Beijing night

As the capital for over six dynasties, Beijing is undoubtedly the first destination when you visit in China. With a history over 3000 years, Beijing has the largest number of world cultural units in the world. You will not only see the world famous historic attractions but also experience the local delicious food and the extraordinary culture. In addition, we also include the world-famous Great Wall of China and Gubei Water Town in the tour which is a newly developed water town for holidays and leisure. You will be amazed by the incredible night views of the water town and Simatai Great Wall.

Upon arrival, you will be picked up at the Arrival Hall of Beijing International Airport. Then transfer to your hotel. You are free to explore for the rest of the day.

 

Day 2, Beijing

Activities: Acrobatic Show at Chaoyang Theater.

Meals: Buffet breakfast, Chinese Lunch, Peking Roasted Duck Dinner.

After enjoying breakfast you will walk on Tiananmen Square, the biggest city square in the world. Covering 440,000 square meters, it has witnessed many important historical events. Next, discover the Forbidden City, one of the five most famous palaces in the world, where 24 emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties lived and ruled for over 500 years.

Lunch will be served as a local Chinese meal.

This afternoon, continue on to visit the famous Temple of Heaven, the landmark of Beijing, which was used to pray for good harvests and to hold the Heaven Worshiping Ceremony by the emperors during the Ming and Qing dynasty. Tonight, we will arrange you with the local specialty with the best Peking Roasted Duck Dinner at Quanjude Restaurant as a welcome dinner.

After dinner, drive to enjoy the fantastic acrobatic show at Chaoyang Theater. After the show, drive back to the hotel.

 

Day 3, Beijing-Gubei Water Town

Gubei Water Town

This morning, you will take a leisurely rickshaw tour in Beijing Hutong and get to know the local people’s lifestyle and the traditional architecture. Then drive to visit the largest and best preserved imperial garden in the world, The Summer Palace, which was built in the late Qing Dynasty as the summer resort for the Empress Dowager Cixi. It’s built according to the famous West Lake and designed with the technique of private gardens in South of Yangtze River.

Lunch will be served as a local Chinese meal.

This afternoon, drive to the hidden gem in Beijing-Gubei Water Town. Located at the foot of Simatai Great Wall, Gubei Water Town was built based on the historic relics of Simatai. It covers a total area of 9 sq km, including 6 districts and 3 valleys. It combines wonderful sightseeing, leisure, and relaxing. You will also attend the interesting night tour on the Simatai Great Wall. Overnight at the boutique hotel, William Edgar Hotel. 

 

Day 4, Beijing-Xian (by bullet train).

Activity: Learn to make a traditional kite

Meals: Buffet breakfast

This morning, you will attend the interesting class about traditional kite making in China. The kite has a long history of over 2000 years in China. In the studio, the experienced craftsman will teach you how to make the traditional kite. After the lesson, you can take the kite with you.

After the class, transfer to the railway station for the departing train to the legendary city, Xi’an (around 5 hours). Enjoy the stunning landscape along the way. Once there, be picked up and transferred to the hotel.

Day 5, Xian

Meals: Buffet breakfast, Chinese Lunch

Terracottar Warriors

After breakfast, you will start your full day tour in the ancient city. Firstly visit the world-famous Terracotta Warriors. The Terracotta Army was created to guard Emperor Qin Shihuang's tomb and to protect him in the afterlife. It is estimated that there are over 7,000 life-size Terracotta figures and horses buried here.

Lunch will be served as a delicious Chinese meal.

This afternoon visit the landmark of the city-Big Wild Goose Pagoda. Built in the Tang Dynasty, the square pyramid stands at 60 meters high and seven-storeys tall. It was built to house the Buddhist scriptures brought by the famous Monk Xuanzang. After that, visit the Former Residence of Family Gao. It is famous for its well-preserved historical residence and courtyard. You will also enjoy a traditional puppet show here. After that, stroll around the famous Muslim Quarter where you can taste the local delicious snacks.

After that, drive to your hotel.

 

Day 6, Xian-Shanghai (by plane)

Activity: Cycling on Ancient City Wall.

Meals: Buffet breakfast, Dumpling Banquet at De Fa Chang Restaurant.

Ancient City Wall

After breakfast, you will visit drive to visit the Ancient City Wall, which was built during the Ming Dynasty with a history spanning over 600 years. You will take an interesting cycling tour on the massive city wall. Then visit the Square of Bell and Drum Tower where you can see the well-preserved ancient Bell and Drum Tower of Ming Dynasty (Outside visiting only). Lunch will be served as a delicious dumpling banquet at De Fa Chang Restaurant which was established in 1936. It’s one of the most famous dumpling restaurants in Xi’an.

After the tour, drive to the airport for the departing flight to the modern metropolis of Shanghai. Once there, be picked up and transferred to your hotel. You will stay in Shanghai for 2 nights.

 

Day 7, Shanghai

Meals: Buffet breakfast, Special Lunch at Xian Qiang Fang Restaurant

The Bund

After breakfast, you will start your full day tour to explore the metropolis. First, stroll around the romantic Bund, which is a famous waterfront area with 52 buildings of different architectural styles. You can enjoy the beautiful skyline of the city. Then, visit the famous Yu Garden which is the most famous private garden in Shanghai built in 1559 A.D. It is one of the most beloved landmarks in Shanghai. Stroll around the nearby bustling Yuyuan Bazaar, where you can do some shopping. You will also get to sample and taste the delicious street food-Long Xiang Baozi (steamed stuffed-bun).

Lunch will be authentic Shanghai cuisine at the famous Xian Qiang Fang Restaurant.

This afternoon, visit the famous Shanghai Museum, one of the TOP three museums in China, which features a large collection of bronze artifacts. Then stroll around the famous Nanjing Road, which is considered to be the most popular pedestrian street in Shanghai. The last stop today is the famous Tianzifang, a very popular site for tourists in Shanghai, which was renovated from the local stone-arched house into trendy boutiques, bars, and restaurants as well as art studios. Dinner will be on your own expense.

Afterward, drive back to the hotel.

 

Day 8, Shanghai-departure.

Meals included: Buffet breakfast, Chinese LunchOriental Pearl TV Tower

This morning, drive around Lujiazui Financial Zone which is considered to the “Wall Street of China”, as many international banks and financial organizations are located there. Next, visit the newest landmark of Shanghai, Shanghai Tower. With the total height of 632m, it is ranked NO.1 tallest buildings in China. You will take a high speed elevator up the 118 F Observation Hall where you can get a great bird view of the metropolis.

Lunch will be a delicious local Chinese meal.

This afternoon, transfer to the airport for your departing flight (We suggest you book a flight with departure time after 6:00 pm). Thus, the end of your spectacular trip to China.
