Meals: Chinese Lunch
With a history of 2, 500 years old, Suzhou was the cultural center of South Yangtze River during the ages of ancient China. It was the capital city of Wu State during the Spring and Autumn Period. You will see quite a lot of cultural and historic sites in the ancient town. Zhouzhuang, the No.1 water village in China close to Suzhou, which features the well-preserved former residences, old bridges, flagging streets, traditional workshops and other historic local landmarks.
On our first morning, we will pick you up at your hotel lobby, on schedule at the appointed time. From here you'll join the rest of the tour group, feel free to mingle with the other travelers and introduce yourself. Once we're set, we drive to the world famous “Waterways and Garden City”-Suzhou; touring through the exquisitely designed private garden, the Nets of Master Garden, which was built during the South Song Dynasty (1,174A.D.-1,189 A.D.) by the famous governor Mr. Shi Zheng Zhi. He used it as a way to escape from his 'noisy' life, a safe haven for peace. It features a compact layout with a harmonious proportion on space and size. The garden work is stunning, filled with cultural undertones beautifully crafted. We then drift through the well preserved Ancient City Wall of Suzhou, an iconic landmark which dates back to up to 2500 years ago. Conveniently running within its borders, you'll notice how the the Grand Canal, it was the longest and largest ancient canal in the world, going through the Suzhou city, acting like a vein for life and source of happiness. We then visit the famous No.1 Silk Factory, where we uncover the secrets of Chinese silk, learning the old ancient ways and hearing stories told since the 14th century.

And of course, we'll have classic Chinese food for lunch served, a table meal for everyone to enjoy.
We then move into the afternoon and drive to the famous water village Zhouzhuang. With a history of 900 years old, Zhouzhuang is located between Shanghai and Suzhou, which features the well-preserved lined riverside former residence of Ming and Qing dynasties, stone bridges, riverside water chamber, flagging streets and other photography worthy gems. The tour group will then take a leisurely boating tour to explore water village as it should be experienced. Afterward, our Sublime China tour group drives back up to the hotel and ends the day in Suzhou.
