Your epic cultural heritage tour starts off at Beijing, the capital of China. Beijing is a city with a nice blend of both modern living and traditional history.
When you arrive at the airport, our driver and English-speaking tour guide will welcome you at the exit. From here to your hotel, you can soak in all the sights and sounds of the city.
Feel free to ask as many questions along the way.
After we safely escort you to your hotel, you can have the rest of the day to relax and shake off any sort of jetlag until the next morning.

Welcome to day 2 of your cultural heritage tour.
After breakfast, we head over to Tiananmen Square, also known as the "Gate of Heavenly Peace," and the largest square in the world -- the center of Beijing city.
Tiananmen Square was where Mao Zedong claimed the founding of the People's Republic of China back in October 1, 1949, it features many noteworthy attractions.
Inside there is the National Museum, a newly built museum -- the largest in China.
The museum is filled with iconic and ancient cultural relics. From here your cultural heritage tour makes way to the Forbidden City, an ancient palace that was used by many historical dynasties.
It was constructed from 1406 to 1420, it's ultimately a palace complex consisting of 980 buildings, covering 72 ha (over 180 acres).
The palace complex is the embodiment of classical Chinese palatial architecture, which has influenced architectural developments across East Asia.
Today, it's now a museum, pulling in over 14.6-million visitors a year, making it the most visited art museum in the world.
After leaving the Forbidden City, the cultural heritage tour drifts over to Jinshan Park, a 23-acre imperial park, formerly owned by the Ming and Qing dynasties.
Interestingly enough, the Chongzhen Emperor, the last ruler of the Ming dynasty, hung himself from a tree in Jingshan in 1644 after Beijing was lost to the rebel forces of Li Zicheng.
When standing on top of the park, you'll find a beautiful view of the Forbidden City -- stunning.
After the tour of Jinshan Park, we head for lunch.
In the afternoon, we look to tour a uniquely special side of Beijing known as, the Hutongs.
The Hutongs are a residential community made up of narrow alleys and streets found in Northern China.
This part of the tour gives you a glimpse into local living in a China treasure. From here, we visit a local family, mingle and then head for dinner.
After eating dinner, your cultural heritage tour takes you to the Peking Opera Show.
Peking Opera is a Chinese traditional art performance that fuses music, vocals, mime, dance and acrobatics.
Its whimsical tone offers a unique atmosphere and pleasant experience. After the show, Sublime China escorts you back to your hotel.

Day 3 of your cultural heritage tour starts off at the Mutianyu Great Wall, more secluded and exclusive than Badaling Great Wall.
Mutianyu Great Wall was first built in Northern Qi (550-577). In Ming Dynasty, General Xu Da built the Great Wall on its former base.
The Mutianyu Pass was built in 1404 and boasts the largest construction scale and without question postures the best quality among all sections of Great Wall.
You'll also feature many watchtowers on overlapping mountain ranges as well.
The wall was built with slabs of stone and is crenelated on both sides with bricks.
The wall provides better protection and wards off attacks with Juyongguan in the west and Gubeikou in the east.
Hereafter we move onto the cable cars for a round trip; discovering the must-visit watchtowers.
There are 22 watchtowers along the 2,250-meter stretch and then we have lunch.
After replenishing and recharging our batteries, we head over to visit the Changling Mausoleum and Sacred Way.
The Changling Mausoleum is the head of Ming Tombs in Beijing and it is nestled at the south foot of the Tianshou Mountain.
Here was where both Emperor Zhu Diand Ms. Xu, the Empress were buried.
It covers approximately 120,000 square meters and out of all the imperial mausoleums of the Ming dynasty, it is the most well preserved.
After the Sacred Way and the Changling Mausoleum, we take your cultural heritage tour back downtown and check out the National Stadium ( The Nest) and National Swimming Center from the outside.
Peking Duck will be served as dinner.

After breakfast, Sublime China drives you to the Summer Palace, the most famous imperial gardens in China for Empress and Emperors in Qing Dynasty.
Summer Palace made the World Heritage Site list, praised as a landscape and garden design masterpiece.
It features a symphony of lakes, gardens and palaces in Beijing and acts as a popular tourist destination and recreational park.
Its main attractions are Longevity Hill and Kunming Lake; covering approximately 2.9 square kilometres, three-quarters of which is water.
Hereafter, we will drive to the Temple of Heaven. Temple of Heaven is listed as a World Cultural Heritage as well, a landmark officially approved by the United Nations.
In the past, it was used as a place where emperors prayed to gods and performed sacrifices.
Emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties would come here to pray to heaven for good harvest.
Often regarded as a Taoist temple, there were many Chinese who came to worship heaven as well.
After touring the Temple of Heaven, you will take a bulletin train to the ancient capital city, Xi’an.
Upon arrival, a car will pick you up and drive you to your hotel.

Day 5 of your cultural heritage tour of China starts off in Xi’an, one of the few sacred cities that has served as the capital city of six dynasties of China.
Here you'll find countless cultural relics and historical architectures.
Also, as the start of Silk Road, it has been the focus of much attention. Since 2015 Xi'an has a population of 8,705,600 and the Xi'an-Xianyang city area has a population of 13,569,700, making it the most populous city in Northwest China, as well as one of the three most populous cities in Western China.
After breakfast, we drive out to see the Terracotta Warriors and Horses -- fine exemplars of Chinese funerary art.
The Terracotta Army was created to guard the first Emperor of Chinese history and to protect him in the tomb for the afterlife.
Thousands of stone warriors and horses were buried in the tomb in various shapes. We then serve lunch after touring the Terracotta Warriors and Horses.
After lunch, the next stop on your cultural heritage tour is the Ancient City Walls, the largest and best preserved in China, having a total length of 13.7km.
From there we head down to Bell and Drum Tower, an iconic piece of legendary architecture in Xi’an.
The Bell Tower was built in 1384, the Drum Tower in 1380.
We then walk to Hui Nationality Street, Hui Nationality is a Chinese minority group living in northwest China. Xi’an is a place where many of them reside.
In Former Residence of Family Gao, a well-preserved residence of Han Nationality, it was built during the Ming Dynasty, here's where your tour takes time to enjoy a traditional puppet show -- storytelling is embedded deep within Chinese culture.
Dinner will be served.
At night, we watch the Tang Dynasty Show in Xi’an (traditional singing and dancing performance).

After breakfast, we will continue to explore Xi’an city.
First, we visit the famous Shaanxi History Museum, the first modern museum in China where you can see the precious bronze articles of Shang and Zhou Dynasty, various Terracotta Warriors, the exquisitely designed gold and silver ornaments as well as the unique fresco tombs in the Tang Dynasty.
We then visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, a famous landmark of Xi’an, which was built in 652 A.D. in the Tang Dynasty to restore the Buddhist the scriptures brought by the famous Monk Xuanzang.
Lunch will be served.
In the afternoon we trek through and visit the Hanyangling Museum. Hanyangling is the royal tombs for emperors and queens in Han Dynasty.
It is the burial place of Emperor Jing, the 4th emperor of the Western Han Dynasty and his Empress Wang.
Located in the Weicheng district of the City of Xianyang, Shaanxi Province, on the northern bank of the Wei River.
It is made up of two big burial mounds, 86 smaller burial pits and a criminal's graveyard.
Tourists come and go and visit the museum. The largest of the two mounds is the burial place of the Jing Emperor, it sits next to the slightly smaller mound of his Empress Wang.
The mausoleum is surrounded by 86 outer burial pits, 21 of which are accessible to visitors.
These pits display more than 50.000 miniature terracotta figures reflecting the daily life of the Han emperor's court, including eunuchs, servants, tools and domesticated animals.
After the tour, you will be transferred to the airport for the flight to Guilin.
Upon arrival, our local tour guide and driver will pick you up at the airport and take you to your hotel.

With the most fascinating landscape in China, Guilin is one of the most popular destinations in China.
The picturesque Li River, typical Karst cave, tranquil countryside view, and lifestyle are the highlights of the region.
After breakfast, we will take a 4-hour drive down to take a river cruise down the fascinating Li River and witness the spectacular limestone rock formations and rural life along the riverbanks -- a lovely experience and great way to start off the day.
When Sublime China arrives in Yangshuo, the group will take part in a special cooking class.
With the guidance of the cooking school chefs, we will shop in the market and buy the material we need to make today's delicious lunch.
By the end of this lesson, you will be a step closer to being an iron chef...

After breakfast, you will learn Taichi lessons for 1 hour. Then we will ride bicycles and experience the rural lives of Yangshuo.
You will see beautiful cottages and fields.
After we drive back to Guilin, and visit the Reed Flute Cave.
After touring through the Reed Flute Cave, Sublime China drives you to the airport to fly to Chongqing.
Upon arrival, you will be transferred to have hotpot dinner.
We then drive to the cruise terminal and board the American Victoria cruise.

Take time and enjoy the sights and sounds of the cruise, including the Precious Stone Fortress.
Its unique architectural style adds a lot of character and has many interesting stories.
Located 45 kilometers away from Zhong County of Chongqing City along the north bank of Yangtze River, the Precious Stone Fortress is nestled in a 200-meter-high rocky peak with dangerously steep sides.
According to the folklore, its giant stone where the fortress lays was left behind by Goddess Nuwa who repaired the broken sky.
During the late Ming Dynasty over 400 years ago, the Precious Stone Fortress was used as defence base from the rebel army.
Today the fortress is surrounded by a 120-hectare lake, becoming a world-famous 12-story spectacular attraction along Yangtze River.

Day 10 of your cultural heritage tour starts off with a cruise tour of the God Peasant River, Goddess River or Little Three Gorges.
The three gorges are along the mid-section of the Yangtze River in the People's Republic of China.
The Three Gorges also known as the "Three Gorges Scenic Area" has been given the highly sought out AAAAA scenic area (the highest level) by the China National Tourism Administration.

Enjoy your free time on the cruise and soak as much of it as long as it lasts.
The tour will stop at the Three Gorges Dam, where the cruise tour ends.

After breakfast, your cultural heritage tour will start your day touring and exploring the metropolis.
We'll first take a pleasant stroll around the Bund, a famous waterfront skyline with 52 immaculate buildings of featuring different architectural styles -- a site to behold and memory to keep.
You can also enjoy the impressive skyline of the Pudong District as well.
Opposite The Bund, there is the Oriental Pearl Tower, a TV tower featuring 11 spheres, both big and small.
The two largest spheres along the length of the tower have diameters of 50 m (164 ft) for the lower and 45 m (148 ft) for the upper.
They are linked by three columns, each 9 m (30 ft) in diameter. The highest sphere is 14 m (46 ft) in diameter. The entire tower is supported by three enormous columns that start underground.
You'll get to step in and take a closer look.
We then head over to visit the Old City, the cradle of the history of Shanghai.
It was the former political, economic and cultural center of Shanghai in ancient times.
The Yuyuan Garden is one of the most famous attractions in the old city.
It is often considered a treasure of the metropolis and it features traditional beautifully designed private garden, originally built in 1559 A.D. in Ming Dynasty.
Lunch will be served after our garden tour.
Hereafter we then visit the well-known Shanghai Museum, one of the top 3 museums in China, which is famous for its large collection of bronze articles and relics.
You'll find precious ancient ceramics, Chinese paintings, and more.
We gather our cultural bearings and then head down to Jade Buddha Temple. With a history of over 100 years, it is a famous temple in Shanghai.
Afterwards, we continue to Xintiandi which is an area with various restaurants, shops, and entertainment.
Tonight, you'll get to eat dinner wherever you like. In the evening we'll all get to have a chance to experience watching a wildly entertaining acrobatics performance -- a truly magical night.

After breakfast, Sublime China drives you out from Shanghai to Suzhou. First, you will tour Humble Administration Garden and Suzhou Museum.
Humble Administration Garden is the largest garden of the Suzhou Classic Gardens.
It is full of Chinese traditional culture styles. Suzhou Museum is also very famous with exquisite designs, the museum environment forms harmoniously with nature, a breathtaking retreat.
After touring Suzhou, we head over to Tongli Water Town, often trumpeted as Venice of the Orient.
Its fairyland-ish rivers, streets, bridges, civil residences, and gardens all work perfectly as one divine environment. Tongli is over 1000 years old and is one of the six famous ancient towns south of the Yangtze River.
