This tour explores the highlights of beautiful Xi’an West. Constructed in 684 AD during Tang Dynasty, Qianling Mausoleum was built directly inside the mountain. It is considered to be the most well-preserved mausoleum from the Tang Dynasty. Qianling Mausoleum was built for Emperor Gaozong and his queen, Wu Zetian. There are numerous historic artifacts including the Legend Telling Tablet, Wordless Memorial Tablet, Subordinate Tombs, stone sculptures, and carvings.
Next on the tour, is the world-famous Famen Temple. This Buddhist temple houses famous relics such as the Phalanx of Buddha, and Sakymuni. With a long history spanning 1,700 years, the temple was believed to be built in 68 AD during the Eastern Han Dynasty. It is considered to be the birthplace of temples from the Central Shaanxi Plain. In the Tang Dynasty, it was renamed Famen Temple, becoming the Imperial Temple. This incredible temple houses numerous precious Buddhist relics, and artifacts which were discovered in the underground palace. The stunning Treasure Hall exhibits over 2,000 valuable Buddhist relics.
