Wuxi is an ancient city situated near Yangtze River and the old Grand Canal. It was considered an important port-city in southern Jiangsu province of China. Wuxi is the birthplace of many prominent businessmen who have helped make Shanghai a business epicenter since the early 20th century. Thus, the city is often called “Little Shanghai”, for its wealthy economy. Wuxi is a vibrant city with so much to offer and a must-see destination.

In the morning, you will be picked up at your hotel in Wuxi. Firstly, you will be driven to Xihui Park, located between Mount Hui and Mount Xi. This is a renowned state park offering stunning views of the surrounding landscape. Taking a cable car (which is not covered by the tour price and considered a personal expense) to the summit of Mount Hui, visitors get panoramic views of the entire city.
Next, you will visit Turtle Head Islet Park, with its beautiful natural landscape. Referred to as "Yuantouzhu Park" in Chinese, this popular scenic area is a peninsula on the northwestern shore of Taihu Lake. Thereafter, you will take a walk around the Taihu Lake, the third largest freshwater lake in China.
Next is a walking tour of Li Garden, which is a wonderful example of classical Chinese garden architecture and layout. The garden is surrounded by water on three sides. Li Garden consists of three sections which are man-made hills, scenic spots covering the dike, and several pavilions in the western portion of the garden. Between June and September, a lotus flower exhibition is held in the garden.
A delicious Chinese lunch is served at a local restaurant. After having your meal, the tour continues. In the afternoon, you will be driven to the famous bronze Grand Buddha at Ling Shan, which stands more than 88 meters tall. Being one of the tallest Buddha statues in the world, it is a must-see attraction in Wuxi. You will spend approximately 2 hours here.
