It also houses the only Chinese Herbal Medicine Museum which introduces varieties of Chinese herbal medicine.
After the visit, you will travel to the Former Residence of Mr. Hu Xueyan (1823-1885).
He founded the Hu Qing Yu Yang Chinese Herbal Medicine Store and was believed to be the richest man in late Qing Dynasty.
The residence is a huge complex with an area of 7200 sqm. It took over three years to build such a great home and it was estimated that the money spent on the construction was about 500,000 silver taels.
Mr. Hu Xueyan lived here together with his 13 wives. You will know about his life stories and why he ended up poor and miserable, the ups and downs of his life were mostly related with the destiny of late Qing dynasty.
