Located just an hour away from Chengdu, the Qingcheng Mountain is known for its natural charm and breathtaking views. Situated amid a stunning landscape are majestic Taoist temples. This is one of the birthplaces of Taoism, and considered an important Taoism centre in China. Visitors flock to the extraordinary Qingchenghshan Mountain, with its 80 km of lush hiking trails.
Also on the tour is the UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Dujiangyan Irrigation System. This2,200-year-old engineering marvel was constructed during the Warring States period, by famous statesman and engineer, Li Bing. This amazing engineering project redirected the Minjiang River from flooding the surrounding region. Today, the Dujiangyan Irrigation System irrigates 5,300 square kilometres (2,000 sq mi) of land in the region and supplies water to over 50 cities in China.
Once the ancient capital of the Shu Kingdom, Chengdu was one of the most famous cities in ancient China. Today, it is renowned for its world-class cultural and historic sites. Your Qingchengshan-Dujiangyan tour starts at the World Cultural Heritage, Dujiangyan Irrigation System which is the oldest, most-preserved non-dam irrigation system in the world.
Located on the Minjiang River, the irrigation project was conceived of by the local governor, Li Bing and his son between 256B.C.-251B.C. For over 2000 years, the irrigation system has made the Chengdu Plain prosperous with thousands of miles of fertile land.
Depending on the time, your Qingcheng-Dujiangyan tour will explore through the famous site of the ancient Dujiangyan Irrigation System, including the walk on the Anlan Suspension Bridge, Taming Temple, and Er’wang Temple.

When we arrive we take a ride on the cable car, which provides breathtaking views of the area. Surrounded by stunning mountains and lush forests, this attraction features numerous Taoist cultural relics and well-preserved landmarks.
