Indeed China’s largest city evolves fast and if you’re planning to visit in the near future, you’ll want to learn the rate at which it progresses — there’s always something new going on.
But remember: Shanghai is massively populated. It is the world’s most populous city with over 24.1 billion people.
It sits at the mouth of the Yangtze River and it is known as, “a city of skyscrapers.”
With a history of more than 700 years, Shanghai is the economic and financial center in China.

Day 1 Shanghai
Meals: Chinese Lunch
Welcome to your Shore Excursion Tour, it starts off in the morning when our tour guide will meet you at Haitong Pier at Waigaoqiao Area or Shanghai Port International Cruise Terminal (please confirm with booking) at around 9:00AM.
From there we will drive and visit Yuyuan Garden (Yu Yuan) and the Old Street.
Yuyuan Garden lies in the prosperous section of Shanghai's old city, its classic garden is situated along the southern area of the Yangtze River. It is famous for having a pure Chinese-style layout.
Known as Fangbang Road, Shanghai Old Street has a total length of 825 meters, and is adjacent to the Yuyuan Garden Bazaar Area; running in an east-west direction from Zhonghua Road to Henan Road South, with both ends marked by decorated archways.
When you step in Shanghai Old Street, you will feel you just going back to the old Shanghai 100 years ago.
Lunch will be served with a local Chinese meal.
This afternoon, you will take a walk along the Nanjing Road, one of the most famous shopping streets in China.
There is a wide range of markets and supermarkets. You'll be able to find just about any type of souvenir or product.
You'll also get to see waxwork along the street, we'll check out Jacky Chen's wax figure.
From there we'll walk along the Nanjing Road of Shanghai and head over to visit the Bund.
Located in downtown Shanghai along Huangpu River, the Bund is an influential attraction in Shanghai and one of the most famous destinations worth traveling in Shanghai.

Afterwards you will visit a typical Chinese building, a style known as Shi Ku Men (Stone Gate Houses) and Shanghai French Concession.
Afterwards your Shanghai Shore Excursion Tour guide will take you back to your cruise by the time required.
