As an old says goes, ”Above there is the Heaven, below are the Suzhou and Hangzhou,” Hangzhou is considered to be one of the most leisurely and romantic cities in China.
It is famous not only for its fascinating natural landscapes and views, but also its legendary love stories and cultural heritage.
As the capital city of Wuyue Kingdom (907 A.D.-978 A.D.) and South Song Dynasty (1,127 A.D.-1,279 A.D.), Hangzhou developed into one of the most prosperous cities in the world.
The famous traveler Marco Polo once called Hangzhou, "the most beautiful and magnificent city in the world."
Hangzhou has the reputation for being a beautiful garden city and one of the top 5 richest cities in China, filled lots of jobs and locals who live by a “no worry, no hurry” motto.
The city itself, is known for being home to the happiest people in the country.

Interestingly enough, tea was invented in China accidentally by Emperor Shen Nong, a Chinese deity, ruler and scientist in 2732 B.C.
According to the legendary story, tea leaves from a wild tree landed in one of his boiling pots of water. He enjoyed the the drink so much that he conducted further research on the plant's medical properties, uncovering its health benefits. Ever since, tea became a staple of Chinese culture.
